Assets Real Estate Portland & Heywood is a locally owned and operated family business with a proud history dating back to the late 1960s. Originally established in Heywood, the agency expanded into Portland in the ealry1980s, opening an office at 137 Percy Street before relocating to its current Portland location of 96 Percy Street as the business continued to grow. The Heywood office has remained an important part of the business, allowing the team to continue supporting both communities with strong local knowledge and personalized service.
In the early 1990s, the business became part of the First National group, operating as Hedditch First National, with Reg Hedditch recognised as one of the founding members of the franchise. Following Reg’s passing in 2004, six long-term employees purchased the business, marking the beginning of a new chapter under the name ResCom Property & Finance Services. In 2011, the business transitioned away from the franchise model and proudly became Assets Real Estate – the name it continues to operate under today.
Over the decades, Assets Real Estate has evolved while remaining grounded in the values it was built on: integrity, community connection, professionalism and genuine client care. The business has long been supported by dedicated staff and family involvement, helping to shape the agency into the trusted local brand it is today.
Today, Assets Real Estate is led by Directors Katrina & Ben, alongside their partners, Joshua and Kellie, who continue to guide the business forward with a strong focus on exceptional customer service and a commitment to the local community. With a combination of experience, modern industry knowledge, and deep local roots, the team is proud to continue building on the agency’s long standing reputation across portland, Heywood and the surrounding region.
